The TBC Operational Diagnostic
This assessment provides a structured diagnostic of your vacation rental management operation. It reveals where systems are strong, where pressure exists, and where improvements can unlock the next stage of growth.
The TBC Operational Diagnostic evaluates the operational health of a vacation rental management company across the core functional areas of the business, including: leadership, field operations, maintenance, housekeeping, guest services, owner communication, pricing and revenue management, marketing and distribution, business development, onboarding, accounting, technology systems, human resources, compliance, and portfolio strategy.
At the same time, the diagnostic examines the operational infrastructure supporting those departments. Each question is mapped across five operational pillars:
People, Workload, Process, Technology, Coordination
This dual analysis allows the diagnostic to evaluate both department-level performance and the structural conditions shaping how work actually gets done across the organization.
Upon completion, participants receive a results summary that functions much like an operational report card, presenting three distinct scores:
Overall Operational Score : A combined measure of the organization’s operational health.
Department Scores : Individual scores for each area of the business, providing visibility into how leadership, operations, guest services, accounting, and other functions are performing.
Pillar Scores : Scores across the five operational pillars, revealing the underlying factors influencing how work flows through the organization.
Together, these results provide a clear picture of how the business is operating today and where improvements in structure, systems, or coordination can strengthen performance and support future growth.
